Love + Literacy + Makerspace = The Kissing Hand

In honor of the month of February and to celebrate love, kindness and friendship, First Grade read, The Kissing Hand, written by Audrey Penn, amongst other notable related books, and created their own pop-up “Kissing Hands.” In the story, Chester the Raccoon, is anxious to go to school so, his mom shares a special secret with him called The Kissing Hand. The Kissing Hand always reminds Chester of his mother’s love and lessens his anxiety over the beginning of the school year!
